A family holding company

Built to be held.

A long-term home for service businesses in an age of AI.

Jiwani Co. is a multi-brand franchisee operator in education, health and wellness, and hospitality. Permanent capital. No exit horizon. Community at the core.

Our thesis

We invest in asset-light, service-based businesses where we can add operating value, and we build for community in an age of AI.

Asset-light

Operating models with low capital intensity, high margins, and the ability to compound through brand and people.

Service-based

Local, in-person experiences that AI cannot replicate. Trust, craft, and relationships are the moat.

Community-first

Brands that bring people together in studios, classrooms, lobbies, and neighborhoods.

Portfolio

One portfolio, built fund by fund.

Where we invest

Three sectors. One philosophy.

01

Education

Tutoring, enrichment, and lifelong learning, built around great teachers and outcomes.

02

Health & Wellness

Fitness, recovery, aesthetics, and longevity. Businesses that meet people in their bodies.

03

Hospitality & Tourism

Boutique stays, experiential travel, and local hospitality brands rooted in place.

Our approach

How we run what we own.

01

Operating discipline

Service standards, training, customer experience, and financial rigor at every location. Great service businesses are won one customer at a time. We invest in unit-level managers and give them the systems to lead.

02

Platform scale

One back office across every unit and brand: recruiting, finance, HR, technology, vendor relationships. The franchisee model works better when shared services support many storefronts.

03

Permanent ownership, real liquidity

We do not flip. We buy and hold on a 20-year horizon, not a five-year fund cycle. When investors or employees need liquidity, we provide it through secondaries, recapitalizations, or similar structures, never by forcing a sale of the business.

04

Conservative leverage

We do not put unnecessary leverage on our businesses. We maintain a healthy DSCR for our banking partners and protect the downside of every deal we own.

05

Owned lead engine

Every business we acquire plugs into Pyro, our owned AI client acquisition platform. We target service businesses where lead generation is the bottleneck, then install our system on day one to take it to the next level.

About the founder

Zaid Jiwani

Zaid has loved entrepreneurship since he was 11. After starting nine businesses, he kept coming back to the same three industries: education, health and wellness, and hospitality. Those are the sectors Jiwani Co. will spend the next several decades in.

He graduated from UC Berkeley and worked at Microsoft and at Heron Data, a company backed by Y Combinator, Box, and Insight Partners. He is based in sunny Los Angeles, California.

The long-term goal is simple: build the largest private equity firm in the world focused on these three sectors.

Jiwani Family Foundation

The family extends to the foundation.

Each fund directs a portion of its proceeds to the Jiwani Family Foundation, which invests in education, health and wellness, and hospitality initiatives in the communities our brands serve.
